Public Worship: Although the church building is currently closed, the life of our Christian community is very much on-going as we continue online with Sunday worship and midweek groups and meetings. On Sundays 10 and 17 January we are meeting online at 11.30am via Zoom with children's groups. Contact us for access codes. We continue to review the situation and will provide further updates here. 
Venue Hire: The St Paul's Church Centre is currently closed, except for Gamblers Anonymous which continues to meet weekly as it provides vital mental health support.
Church Office: The office is currently closed to the public. Irene Mburu, our Administrator & Facilities' Manager, is working reduced hours. Please contact us by telephone, or email or direct message us via social media and we will respond as soon as we are able.

Located across from Victoria Park and just off the High Road in Finchley Central, our multi-purpose facilities are perfect for events of all genres. Our sunny rooms, spacious hall and Victorian Church building are available for hire Monday to Saturday.

Our Spaces

With capacity ranging from a handful of people up to 275, you’re sure to find a space well suited to your needs.

Our fully equipped kitchen is also available for hire if you wish to provide catering or refreshments for your event. Additionally, we have a range of equipment to help facilitate your event.

St Paul’s Centre Rooms

We have three rooms available for hire six days a week (Monday to Saturday) in the St Paul’s Centre. The whole centre is available for hire as well.

St Paul’s Church

Opened in 1886, our Victorian building is our largest space. With beautiful stained glass windows and a striking marble reredos, the building has an appealing ambience.

St Paul’s Centre

Monday to Saturday

With our two rooms and large hall, you’re sure to find the ideal space for your event. Our facilities are available for hire six days a week and our booking arrangements are flexible.

Charles Simeon Room

Our Charles Simeon Room is the perfect space for smaller meetings and gatherings. With tables and chairs set up, the room can comfortably hold 15 people.

St Luke’s Room

Our St Luke’s Room is a wonderful space for mid size training courses, meetings or small group gatherings. With tables and chairs set up, the room can comfortably hold 20 people.

St Paul’s Centre Hall

The hall is the largest space in our Centre. It is an excellent location for conferences, parties, lectures or large scale gatherings. With tables and chairs set up, the hall can accomidate 100 people. Without tables and chairs, capacity increases to 130 people.

Entire St Paul’s Centre

Our Centre is available for exclusive booking for larger events requiring multiple spaces. Booking the entire Centre includes sole use of:

  • Charles Simeon Room
  • St Luke’s Room
  • St Paul’s Centre Hall

St Paul’s Church

Our Victorian church building is large enough to accommodate comfortably up to 275 people. This makes the space ideally suited for large meetings, concerts, lectures or seminars.


Our industrial standard kitchen is fitted out with a number of excellent features and appliances. We make this available under two different plans. The Refreshments plan is on a per event/one time flat rate basis. The Catering plan is on a per hour basis.


We also have some add on equipment available for hire to help you host a successful event. Our equipment is available on a half day or whole day basis. 


Frequently Asked Questions

Is parking available?

Limited on site parking is available for event facilitators and Blue Badge holders. There is street parking available for event participants and guests. Please keep in mind that street parking may have time restrictions.

Do you offer any kind of discounts for charities?

Yes, we offer a discount for qualifying organizations. Please let us know at the time of enquiry so we can determine whether or not your organization meets our criteria.

Can anyone hire space at St Paul’s Finchley?

We’re happy to accept sponsoring organizations, individuals, events and activities that are consistent with our ethos. However, out of respect for our neighbours we do not hire our premises for wedding receptions and parties for teenagers. 

What happens if I have to cancel my booking?

We understand that there may be circumstances which can result in a cancellation. In the event you find yourself having to cancel your original booking, please contact us in writing as soon as possible. Fees may apply if your booking date is less than four weeks from the cancellation date.

Can I make a Sunday booking?

Sundays are reserved for church activities. We accept bookings Monday to Saturday from 8:00am to 10:30pm.

Can my event have music?

Due to our location in a residential area, amplified sound systems can only be used in limited circumstances. If for any reason you want to have music at your event, please contact the office to discuss the matter further.
